I'm Done

You always locked me up since I was little
You didn't let me do anything remotely fun
You shield me so much from the outside world
That I was even afraid to see the sun
Now I'm publicly awkward and extremely shy
Won't even smile to the few friends I have
Because I feel so dead inside, you killed me
So now I rebel and you say 'What happened to the daughter I had'
Well news flash, she was never there

I just wanted to act like that so you would be proud of me
But now I really don't care what you think of me
You always ask why I act this way
YOUR the one who made me this way
I can endure no more
So father say fare well to the daughter you though you had
'Cause she ain't never coming back
