I'M In Love Poem by onesimo odwa mabovula

I'M In Love

Am I in love; or am I not
I’m not sure because I don’t know
What the actual meaning of love is
I don’t know how it feels to love
Or even to be loved for that matter

But the feelings I have inside are so deep;
So strong; so tender like the colour pink
So soft; so comforting like a mother
And yet they are so sharp, sharp as an arrow
Every time I close my eyes I think of you

It is you I want next to me
I want to ride to the future with you
I can’t explain how I feel when I’m in your loving arms
It’s almost like death in a good way
But I don’t know how death feels like either!

The shape of your body makes me week
Features of your face make me even weaker
The smile that you posses, those full and soft lips,
Your small eyes, and those well built high chicks oh...
I’m ready to love you till death does us apart

But I wonder as I feel like this
How do you feel, what do you think of me
I’m not developing feelings of love,
I fell in love with you African queen
“if this is not love then love doesn’t exist'
