I'M More Then My Body Poem by natalie farnsworth

I'M More Then My Body

Rating: 3.8

When you look at my all you see is my body.
You don't see how my eyes fill with tears.
Or when I'm happy I smile.
You always get what you want dear.
You lead me to the bedroom and prepare my slow death.
Because you do know this is killing me right?
Every touch burns my skin.
No one deserves to be used like this.
I know I'm better but this is all I've known.
It goes back to my family.
doesn't it always?
The voice in my head begs you to stop.
But I cant get the words to come out of my mouth.
I don't want to lose you so I let you use me.
I tell myself its better then being alone.
But i will never forget the truth.
you'll never love me.
Because all you see is my body.
