I am not ashamed
Of the things I’ve done,
I am not ashamed
Of the things I said,
I am not ashamed
Of the things I saw,
I am not ashamed
Of the things I heard…

For I am deaf
I cannot hear,
For I am blind
I cannot see,
For I am mute
I cannot speak,
For I am mindless
I cannot think.

People without shame
Of things said and done,
People without shame
Of things seen and heard,
They should all be,
But yet, I,

why am I
Not ashamed?
