I'M Not Holding Your Hand Anymore Poem by Ciera Ivey

I'M Not Holding Your Hand Anymore

Bloodshot eyes
Sweaty palms
Broken heart
Shattered tears
Empty hopes
You're gone
I reached for you
You slipped away
Dead in the night
You got away
So I have to let go
It's not easy

The one you loved so dear, the one that you held so near, saw pure light and hid in fear, a burden not only you has to bear. Both need a hand, two sides of the same boat, kept us apart was sand, here have my coat.
