I'M Not Tired (Before I Fade) Poem by Dylan Attard

I'M Not Tired (Before I Fade)

Please don't fall asleep yet,
I'm not tired, I'm not tired,
Just a little longer,
I'm scared you won't wake up!
Please just stay here with me,
Hold my hand, hold my hand,
I wasn't finished talking,
And I want to say I love you.
Hearing your voice softly,
Whisper as you're falling,
Into another day dream,
Of old evenings spent,
Tangled up with you.

Let me just cuddle closer,
I'm not crying, I'm not crying,
Kiss me gently, softly,
Yes I'm lying, yes I'm lying,
I could never lose you,
As I promise that I wont.
But if I cannot hold you,
Than its better that I don't.

So please don't fall asleep now,
When you do then I must fade,
Into the dreams of our love,
That we never truly made.

If you fall asleep now,
There is no other way,
That I can truly hold you,
Into the coming day.
So please don't fall asleep now,

I'm so tired, I'm so tired.
