I'M Scared Poem by Kyrsten Gaddis

I'M Scared

What happens when you die?
Do you melt away?
Or just float and sigh?
Does it hurt?
Like a shot in the thigh?
Does it soothe you?
Like an angle from the sky?
Please tell me how it feels
So I may know the truth
Should I be scared?
Because I am
I'm scared
Of the not knowing
What will happen next.
I'm scared
Of the changes,
The lights,
The sky,
The dark
I'm scared
Of the feeling,
Of being alone
In my grave
Will you come with me?
If you do
I promise
To be brave

Death comes to us all, in various forms. We are tested to the very last breath taken. As in birth, you come into the world and go out the same way - someone with you yet alone with your Creator. Who can tell Kyrsten.....? Thanks for sharing these's fears -Cindy
