I'M Screaming Inside Poem by Jennifer Colyne Hall

I'M Screaming Inside

Your kiss drives me wild

I'm screaming inside

This path I walk is ominous

Those voices in the hall

You consumed me

But I give my innermost center

in a boot

Two hands on my head

Covering my ears

I won't ever escape

Or fade away...

Heaven or Hell

I'm just a captive here

We have a silent dialogue

Expression,

Lashing out,

Defamation

I'm having a bad day

Come and save me

I stay in my head

Cuz there I have

The river and sunset

Good times where just your love

gets me drunk

Why are you always mad at me?

Just to hear your voice

Baby I go weak

It's funny after all this time

Pull me out of the darkness

Life would not be the same

without you by my side

I have to whisper

Shhh...
