I'M Through Poem by Marcus McKinley

I'M Through

I can’t help but notice, that look you give
The one that says, I wish you would leave...
The one that says, I wish you would cease to live
Because there is something, you believe
I never knew, you did not receive
Sitting there, you seethe and stew
Denying unconditionally, a love that’s true

mirrored images reflect me not
stand you, contemptuously twisted in my side
It isn’t true love your selfish needs got
I don’t need your looks, cause I’ve already died
The love I saw in you, was never inside
Never unconditional, and never true
I’ve wasted my love on you
