I Married My Pain Poem by Can I Live?

I married my pain
And let it take over me
Of all these lives I've seen
I married the pain
I gave in to the weariness
And the hurt of a
broken heart
I let myself get shot down
Or I shot myself down;
I couldn't say which
Even through all the happiness
I still feel the hurt
Hoping one day I'll know
What it feels like to have none
But I've got to stop hoping in foolish things
It will be the end of me
To not remember my hurt
Would mean I'd forget my joy
So I live, and with life comes the agony
Its always there so what can I do
Except keep on loving?
Loving and hoping for better memories.
