Bhavani Polimetla

I may see another day

Sitting on the seashore
Looking at the sky
So wide and wide
Deep and blue
I lost my self by looking into it

Looking into sky
In search of heaven
Somebody told me
Heaven is on other side of it

Looking at the sea
Waves are rising
Coming to the shore
Falling with the touch
Thoughts are like waves
Always rising
Falling before I recall them

Day is ending
Sunlight is fading
Moonlight is beaming
Stars are shining
Birds are sleeping
Waves are rising

Looking into sky
In search of falling star
To make a wish
I am done on earth
What I need to wish?

My mind is sky wide
My mind is restless sea
Nature is in me
I am in nature
Going into sleep
By hoping that
I may see another day

poet Ambrose Bierce

Weather
by Ambrose Bierce

Once I dipt into the future far as human eye could see,
And I saw the Chief Forecaster, dead as any one can be--
Dead and damned and shut in Hades as a liar from his birth,
