I Miss You Poem by Marissa Vega

I Miss You

Rating: 5.0

Every day's the same.
I walk past your picture with the same feeling of despair.
It might be pathetic or lame,
But I can't help but wince or stare.
Everytime someone mentions your sweet name.
A feeling of emptiness bestows over me.
Like a cloud,
But that cloud is grey.
And my thoughts are loud.

Have you ever missed a love one?
So dear so kind?
You never thought they'd leave so quickly.
And never realized the dread they leave behind.
We all mourn and cry.
So why hide the feelings behind the mask?
Sometimes one has the need to look away.
But at the end of the day,
you'll be the one to cry last.

An insightful depiction of pains and sorrows that infest minds of bereaved, as they struggled to come to terms with irreplaceable loss of loved ones, well articulated and insightfully penned in poetic diction with good rhyme scheme. Lovely piece of poetry nicely written from the heart with conviction. Thanks for sharing Marissa. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

Death eventually touches us all. Mourning is natural and necessary. Thanks, Marissa
