I Miss You Mom Poem by Katheryn Foley

I Miss You Mom

Last night I had a dream that you were by my side,

happy as God promised you would be,

I layed there sleeping as you came in my room,

and stroked my forehead like you used to,

like a mother would you took the time to get to know me,

from the days we lost touch we stayed up till midnight,

talking, eating, and playing Yahtzee in our living room,

we just soaked up each others company,

and when we go to sleep we say I love you and truly mean it,

and we know we mean it because we know each other well,

and end like a mother and daughter should.
