I Need To Speak Poem by Holly Moon

I Need To Speak

We have to speak,
We must,
I try to start,
But you're busy,
You don't want to hear,
More like,
What I have to say,
Or aren't ready,
With a retort,
Of your own.

I give you time,
So much time,
Yet I have to speak,
Sometime.

I cannot start,
You won't listen,
All I need is a minute,
Too much to ask?

This isn't going anywhere,
Is what I wish to say,
Something has to change,
This isn't my place,
I feel frustrated,
So insecure,
I need attention.

Don't turn away,
Do something else,
To avoid a subject,
I wish to speak.

If you cannot give,
What I need,
Be honest and tell me,
How you feel.

If you're unsure,
And need time,
ay so and we'll see,
But don't play games with me.
