I Need You Poem by C Jay Caputo

I Need You

I need you I need you,
I need you, I need you.

I need your head on my chest
Feeling my breath
My nose in your breast
Erasing what's left
I need my lips to you lips
My hips to your hips
Your tongue down my throat
And your voice, that sings ever note
That is music to my soul
I need to kiss you where your neck meets the bottom of your ear
Be here, now

I need your hand in mine
Our fingers intertwine
Like a lock and key
Perfect, what's meant to, is meant to be
I need the smell of your hair
Your comfort, your care
Compassion, completion
Your eyes, that glare
I need you
I need you

I need you when the drugs stop to work
I need you to hold me tight and smirk
And say
'Its okay'
I need you
More than the sunlight that shines the earth
My heart would light the way so I could find you
That much to me you are worth
And that much I would do
I need you
More than the blood that courses through my veins
And so much more than the after effect
Of my impulsive actions that amuse what pains
I need to kiss you neck
I need to hear you breath
And if you'll have me
I promise never to leave
I need you
I need you
