I Need Your Presence Poem by Gideon Arthur

I Need Your Presence

Quit running oh my solar lamp of the sky
Conquering the dark steady clouds
You come in full today as you draw nigh
The next you wane. Can I ask why?
Growing and dying in rounds
That's what you do always
Showering on me unsteady rays
Which better not my night
Nor bid farewell as I take my morn bite
Now I wait with mum in my haven
Happiness replaced with emotional burden

When you come to visit
You come like an attacking spirit
Most of the time you're late
Fulifling rarely your time's date
But I want you here always
Even if you've to plead the sun extra rays
'Cause I want you in full
Not new
Unable to swim with me in the pool
Newness vanishes your being leaving crumbles; a few
I like you as you are
Beautiful, ugly, near but not far

I know staying steady is impossible
Nature will not make it plausible
Making you a multipurpose being
To keep things intact; seen it unseen
I guess, your son, I will have to enjoy
Fully your presence
In no timr you'll recoil
Leaving me tensed and dense
Yes In no time you'll be
Waning off to leave me
Nothing but your body print
Which will give me a hint
As you wax to be full
How much attention from me you'll pull
So I will today stand with mum in an empty space
And stare you at full with my whole face
