I Never Knew
I never knew
How bright the stars do shine
Against the pitch black sky
I never knew
Why the waves kept pounding
To drown out my beating heart
I never knew
How we understood
The unspoken words that passed
I never knew
How tight your hands held
Mine in yours
I never knew
How two fearful hearts
Had courage to find love
I never knew
That love could be so sad
And yet so beautiful
I never knew
That we would meet
Just to part forevermore
I never knew
How life just continues
Even after my tears are dry

To know something and feel it is one thing. To know it and write about it is quiet another. To have loved and lost is better than not having loved at all. To have shed tears is better than keeping it pent up inside. Love teaches us a lot of things. Nice
