I Never Thought You’d Be The One To Break Me Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

I Never Thought You’d Be The One To Break Me

My eyes have burned with newfound tears
My hearts been decimated and filled with fears
Have I been fooled by the best there is
Or was I right in following my intuition
A broken smile falls over my lips
The taste of you still lingers on them
And the tears swell my eyes as cast off my sins
And wait until morning for this to start over again
How could you think I would betray you like that?
Do you not understand how I feel?
I’ll look into the shadows seeking hope from them
Cause when I look in your eyes I see a blank expression
No emotions to read, no thoughts to share
Just a dead shell holding me close
My kiss offers you everything
While your own only offers me death
My lungs collapse with the toxins you breath
The life pulls its self from with in me
My eyes shake with fear as you clutch my throat
Will you whisper that lie into my ear one last time?
The toxic smell of your breath kisses my cheek
And the three words I hate to hear explode from your vocals
I love you, you say taking away my air
My eyes pled with you and say did you ever care
You smile in triumph as you whisper to me
Honey you were the easiest girl to manipulative
Defeated by your vial of lies, I loose all dignity
I can’t believe I put my trust in you
Placed my heart in your hands
Only for you to shatter it one more time
How could you do that after all you said?
Was it just a way to gain my heart?
So you could watch me fall before your hands
How dose it feel to see my tears fall
How dose it feel to see my blood spill
The wounds were neatly healed
Only for you to break them open again
Deviation has been set before my gaze
But betrayal is something you cannot atone
So place the knife in my back and kiss away my tears
I’ll spit in disgust as I lay dyeing again
The soft murmur of my voice fades
And darkness swarms over my frame
So I wave fair well to the light I so desperately wanted
And hello to the shackles of my damnation
