I Once Thought Poem by Vera Sidhwa

I Once Thought

I Once Thought

I once dreamed that you were here.
You know what?
You were.
You were here.

This dream last long
And didn't take long
To interpret it.
You were in my dream.

You were like in a fairyland.
You were sweet and lithe.
You were light as the ether.
And quick like lightening.

I once dreamed that you were here.
You know what?
You were.
But this time it was not a dream.
