All you ever did was take
Was it my spirit? my soul
You wanted to break?
I couldn't do it anymore
I was sick and tired
Of being knocked to the floor
You took almost everything, even my will to live
Untill I had nothing
Left to give
One thing you never got was my soul
Funny how that works, huh? 'Cause after all
Wasn't that your ultimate goal?
Eventually I got fed up, and I left you
You never saw it coming
It was something you never dreamed I'd do
So i guess in the end you were the one that failed
You couldn't break my spirit
And I'm the one that truly prevailed.
