I Push You Shove Poem by James Meaney

I Push You Shove

I've got you on my wrist
The bracelet you made for me that day
A little memory of what did exist
But you cast your eyes black and through it away
Lets turn around, Screw the future
lets look to the past
like a black and white border
lets see the outlined contrast
in your eyes and the ones in your eyes now
Keep in mind that I use to love this girl some how
We would beat box with failure
and rap like Eminem
Who knew that this girl was to good
and to good for any other man.
She wanted it all, I had love
I didn't push when I committed to her
But she gave me the shove
