I Remember Poem by Arielle Perkins

I Remember

I remember when I once asked
Why we could not leave and go with are faces masked?
Your response to my question was imprinted on me like a scar
When you said ‘’you can’t hide from who you truly are’’
Constantly running away from my fears
Has made me realize through these years
No matter were I run and hide
It will not change the person inside.
You see, there will always be boys no matter were we go
Always around putting on a show
We could run forever and cry in despair
Because soon you will realize they are everywhere.

Being rude is not the answer to anything
Complications and frustrations are things any teen will bring
No matter how much of an angel you think, they are
You have missed the truth and that is by far.
