I remember

i remember the way you smelled
i remember the way you touched me
you lightly run your fingers down my back
i remember the way you looked at me like you couldn't get enough
i remember the way you said i love you
like you wanted itto settle in for me to believe
i remember the way you hugged me
like you were holding me never to hit the ground
i remember when you kissed me
you tasted of snickers

i giggle, you smile
you say 'i love you' i say ' i love you back with all my heart'

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Your hands lie open in the long fresh grass, --
The finger-points look through like rosy blooms:
Your eyes smile peace. The pasture gleams and glooms
