I Remember You Poem by Martins Akhoeneto

I Remember You

I remember you

In every of my dream

In every passing hour

Down within my deepest mind

You paint my day with smiles

And litter every fading second

With constant sweet fragrances

I remember your inviting spirit

That sweeps my soul beneath

Your heart-winning pill I swallow

Whole, deep-throated in merry

I remember you, inner most idol

You are printed, engraved with stone

In the cave of my heart

But know surely true

Even as you leave, my heart foam

With rage, fire, thunder and volcano

Till when we meet again
