I remind my self
This is a good thing
An end chosen is a better end
That i make for me

I remind myself
Of the songs i used to sing
Of the people i would call friend
Of the choice to be free

I remind myself
The world is worse than this
The pain that i felt
Of a smell bitter-sweet

I remember myself
A lingering kiss
Of the hand that i was delt
Of this personal Defeat

Did i make the right choice
This pool thickens around me
Have i take away my voice
Am i really Free?
