I Request Readers Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Request Readers

Rating: 5.0

Poetry is divine field
It has place to be held
Not only with readers
But with elders too

I feel little shame
When go to readers with blame
“That I fail to ask for requests’
Where as I consider them as best

I find many writers
With begging bowls to cater
Their need for reading poem
It may be gong well with them

Is it not real shame?
You have to ask each time
To members and request to read
I feel the inner soul is dead

I find the formation of cartel
It does not go well
It falls short of expectations
It is beginning of bad relation

“I read your poem and you read mine”
Each writer is in open market to claim divine
As if people are ignorant of his creation
It is clumsy approach to build road for elevation

I request readers not to fall for temptation
In no way it serves cause for healthy competition
You are made victim of falling in their design
Such poets must resign from writing and feel fine
