I Saw The Old Tree Bent Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

I Saw The Old Tree Bent

I saw the old tree bent
And haggard
I wept with it – for it
I saw a mirror my me in it.
Except
That more bent and more haggard
Slow trudged I my feet here
On the unwelcome Earth a Poet Seer.
