I Searched For God, I Found God Everywhere Poem by Elizabeth Grant Price

I Searched For God, I Found God Everywhere

I searched for God deep in my heart,
And felt warmth, with all inspiration,
Of every true beat of his love,
Keeps me alive

In my search, I treasured these wondrous gifts,
Wind in the grass, whispering trees,
Jack frost dipping his pen in white,
Satin clouds sailing skies of blue,
Flowers many, lo their fragrance,
Silver rain tapping at my window,
Ocean music, bird songs too,
All these lovely things, and more

I searched for God, perceiving his reflection,
His love etched in pure perfection,
Upon the evidence of his creations,
And felt an amazing elation

I found God, in contemplation everywhere,
In power and beauty, startling to the world

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The rythymn of your poem surprises me. I expect it to flow, but it pauses before continuing. I expect it to say nothing new, and in a way, it doesn't (it is about God, and he has had a lot of comments about him) , but yet it leaves me with the impression that I have seen something new, because of the freshness of life. God has given us so much. I hope he blesses you and uses your poems to touch someone's heart.
