I see your pain from deep inside
But it is by God’s rules we must abide
I see the tears flowing from your face
Afraid you will disappear without a trace

I see the pain when we talk
It is also noticed in your walk
I wish I could take away the agony and pain
But I know there are lessons for you to learn

My darling baby boy has grown so big
At one time you were as tiny as a twig
I could hold you and wipe away your tears
But you now have so many other fears

I see the pain written on your face
Afraid you will leave without a trace
You have so much love to give
All I want is for you to live

To live your life and give from your heart
For this is what you were taught from the start
For one day you will find someone to love you
And you will not feel so lonely and blue

You have learned how to give
And you have learned how to forgive
Darling son learn how to grow
For there is much more for you to know
