I Shall Become Sunshine Poem by Lexie Mulkey

I Shall Become Sunshine

I fade into the shadows.
Unnoticed by all around me.
I'm a puddle of mucky water
You step on me so regular.
No point in my existence
I believe to have no value.
Oh, how at times to wish to be the sunshine
To be wanted by many of you
Not just the fade of the shadows
I'm seen to be a gray cloud
They say rain follows my kind;
I really don't bring laughter or sunshine.

It is as though I am a cold front.
The rain and chills follow my path.
One day I shall be sunshine;
Shinning brighter than any other star.
No rain or chills will follow me.
I will not be the fade or shadows,
For all shall notice and see me.
I will not be called a kind,
But a sun of radiant light.
This day shall come in time
It my not come in your life time,
But it shall come for all to see the sunshine I will be.
