I shall not think of you today.
I shall quiet my heart again.
I shall shut my eyes to the memory of you
And return to the solace of my pen.

I shall not let my mind wander.
I shall not wonder where you are.
I shall keep a tight rein on my fantasies
And write of a midnight star.

I shall not become depressed today.
I shall create my elated side.
I shall watch the sunlight filter down
And pen how I have lied.
