I Shall Not Fear Poem by Fiona Sunny

I Shall Not Fear

O worst of the worst! Come my way
Attempt Thy snakes at my nest
Then witness Thy defeat, out my bay
For I shall fight with the best of the best!

O failure of failures! Come my way
Face me with Thy stealthiest ferry
Then stare as my glory makes Thee prey
For I shall crown myself with victory!

O rage and anguish! Come my way
Tilt Thy galleries of wrath on me
Then see the agonies of fury at Thy stay
For I shall not be dampened, but forever glee!

O darkness of darkness! Come my way
Try Thy silly prank over my road
Then watch as angels light my way
For I shall be well-secured at Thy trot!

O horrible death! Try my way
Thou shall not succeed with what Thou steal
But surprise Thy self at my eternal stay
For I am, more than the body; the soul!

prey: victim
what Thou steal: the life of the body
dampened: weakened
