I want to believe one thing
that if you look
past the flicker of flames
venture beyond
the warmth of a glow
into the embers of my soul
you feel as I feel
an impalpable fervor
as if nothing else exists
only the need to
surrender
as if to give up in despair
for there is no other love
none beyond yours
such dulcet surrender
I surrender my lifetime
To you
