I try to be strong
To hide the way I feel
That my world is falling
That my heart's not beating
That existing is wrong.

I try not to cry
When I see your face
When I'm reminded that I lost
When I remember you're not mine
When I collapse inside.

I try not to mind
When you're laughing with the guys
That I'm breaking down alone
That it's so easy for you to move on
That the pain I feel is mine and mine alone.

I try to be strong.
I try not to cry.
I try not to mind.
And I always fail.
