I Turned Fifteen... - Poem by Rosemarie Venero

My birthday was yesterday
But for me, it was just another day
No birthday party, no cards, no cake
Nobody to say 'Happy Birthday Girl'

I just turned fifteen
And my life is such a mess
I made a mistake
And now I am expecting
A baby girl

Mon, Dad, I am so sorry
I never meant to let you down
I made a mistake, I promise, I will change
Please, don't make me have
This baby by Myself

Dad don't lock the doors
Please, don't kick me out
I know I am an embarassment
But I am only just a child

I just turned fifteen
I am having a child
But how can that be
I am only just a child

mistakes are what make us human. though its easy to be at this end and write... but, sincerely BE STRONG... own what you did... stop regretting and get ahead.. my wish - be blessed be courageous.. GOD BLESS!
