I'Ve Done Nothing Wrong Poem by Florence Badejo

I'Ve Done Nothing Wrong

Me? What have I done?
All I ever do is try.
Why must you yell at me?
Are you mad that I won't die?
I've done nothing wrong to you
And yet here we are.

You act like I'm your slave
To do everything you should.
But I am a human being
To be treated well and good.
I've done nothing wrong to you
So stop being cruel to me.
The more you yell and scream
The more angry I come to be.
I haven't hit you nor hurt you
So why do you complain?
I try so hard to please you
But everything stays the same.
