I Waited For The Darkness Of The Night To End

I WAITED FOR THE DARKNESS OF THE NIGHT TO END

I waited for the darkness of the night to end
The morning would be my salvation.
But light has come
And with the light the doom of all I have not done
And the threats growing stronger and stronger.
Darkness may descend in the middle of the day
And darkness become the whole universe
And we in the middle of nowhere still holding on
May go out like lights seen briefly once who knew always
Only the Darkness finally real.
