I want to be the reason for the sparkle in your eyes
I want to be the reason that you smile when you go to sleep at night
I want to be the woman you love, you touch, the one you dream about
I want to be the single-most important thing that you just can't live without

I want to be happy for you and God knows I try
I want to be a rock so you don't have to see all the tears I cry
I want to be the pillar that you lean on when you're tired of this world
I want to be the shoulder that you run to when you need to cry, that girl
I want to be the woman you love, you touch, the one you dream about
I want to be the single-most important thing that you just can't live without

Rain is pouring now and I'm broken down inside
Storm clouds on the way and I am terrified
I just don't see how I can possibly survive
Without your love, the love that keeps me alive
I want to be happy for you and some day who knows
You might find the love you once had for me so many years ago
