I Wanted To Believe.......

That I truly could trust you
That it wasn’t you who deceived me-
That it wasn’t your knife stuck in this heart
That it wasn’t my blood on your hands

I Wanted To Believe........

You were by my side
You would defend me
You would listen
You would know me.

I Wanted To Believe..........
I Did Believe........
Believed in someone who wasn’t you.
Someone who never was.
