I Was Blind To See The Truth Poem by Tammi Celina Lyons

I Was Blind To See The Truth

I was so blind that I couldn't
See what was happening.
I loved the beginning,
But I soon discover a your secret.

It was a mistake to love you,
And all my thoughts
It's all about you.
I thought you would be
The one to end my suffering.
I was wrong.

I was so blind that you lied to me
Saying all these words
That I would believe.
I'm screaming inside
Wanting to end my life.

Why was I born?
I don't deserve to live.
You broke my heart so many times
That I'm already dead inside.

I was so blind,
Now I see everything around you
And you're nothing.
I thought you loved me.
I thought wrong.
