I Was There Poem by Ima Ryma

I Was There

I was young when the angels came
And told my shepherd the news of
The miracle birth of acclaim.
Then the angels returned above.
My shepherd took me with him to
Bethlehem where I as a lamb
Was placed near the baby born new.
Remembering often I am,
Being with this baby a while,
His tiny fingers tugged my wool.
Baby Jesus gave me His smile.
With pride and joy my heart was full.

Description of Jesus, God's Son,
Lamb of God is my favorite one.
