I Was Wrong And Wrong Again And Again Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Was Wrong And Wrong Again And Again

I have been wrong so many times in my life
That if I could open a business and get paid for being wrong
I would be rich by now-
But Money is what I have been most wrong about,
I had it and did not manage it properly
I didn't make it-
I have to make it in my old age and don't know how-
I was wrong in never thinking about old age
And the money I might need to get through it-

I now am unable to help others anymore
I am in trouble
And may soon go back to work again
For such small money it will not help much-

I was wrong and wrong again and again-
I gave my life to what I needed and wanted to do
And was not prudent and responsible enough-
