I Watch It Disappear
I watch with tears in my eyes
As you go passing by
I smile, it’s a lie
Then you turn smiling
As you sit in front of me,
Crying
I sit behind you silently
While my friends joke and laugh
Gallantly
As we leave I do not turn
You have no looked
And it burns
I slowly realize now and here
That you never loved me
I was not dear
It was not love all that was left
Was fear
I even watched as it disappeared
