I Went To Where My Loneliness Is Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Went To Where My Loneliness Is

I WENT TO WHERE MY LONELINESS IS

I went to where my Loneliness is
I wrote a small poem there,
It seemed to help for a while-
But then at the end of the end of the end
No poem could be a friend.

It was greater than words or me
God to believe.

I do not know where I am
A little little old man-
Waiting with a question to see
Whether we will forever be.
