I Will Pen On Poem by Francis Duggan

I Will Pen On

Though on my worth as a writer I often cast doubt
I never am short of things to write about
From Life and from Nature we learn every day
We learn as we live as some are known to say
I'm not even one of minor literary note
And I never refer to myself as a poet
As writers few are seen as quite good enough
Yet to some what seems quite good to others seem rough
There are millions of writers in the World of today
Though few are successful and make writing pay
In writing as in life everyone cannot win
But to try and to fail it is never a sin
If I told you I'd quit writing that would be a lie
For I will pen on 'til the day that I die.
