I Will Stop Loving You Until Poem by Hebert Logerie

I Will Stop Loving You Until

Rating: 5.0

I will stop loving you until
The babies stop mewling
The cats stop meowing
The birds stop flying
The fish stop swimming
The dogs stop barking
The plants stop growing
The doves stop kissing
The snakes stop hissing
The frogs stop jumping
And the gals stop weeping
I will stop loving you until
Then Heaven
And then
I will start whimpering
Like a man who does not feel
The existence of his surroundings.

I will stop loving you until
The flowers stop blooming
The cheetahs stop racing
The monkeys stop laughing
The roosters stop singing
The bells stop ringing
The lions stop hunting
The tigers stop fighting
The poets stop writing
And the sun stops shining
Then Heaven
And until
Then
I will start worrying
About the shadow of death
About swallowing my last breath
And about how to deal
With love, lust, passion, money
Euphoria, loss, dust and eternity.
