I Wish
I wish you could utter the words
that are like the waves of a river.
Words that could be raised by the wind,
that could touch the distant skies
that could raise my heart settled in the deep river of time,
that could reopen the closed doors of my soul,
that could revive fading colors of a pink rose,
that could resend me in the time
when I needed nothing except you
and I needed you, only you.
A lovely poem, I wish I could read and understand the Bengali poem of Maleka Ferdous.
