I wish I had somewhere to go
And somebody to go with me
For what life holds I'll never know
Until it comes and I can see
To hope its love what comes tomorrow
To hope it's love not pain and sorrow
I only have one soul to free
I only have one chance to be

I wish I had something to show
For all the work I suffered for
With all the folk I'm yet to know
And all the ones that came before
To hope its love that comes my way
To hope its love not more dismay
I only have one heart to give
I only have one chance to live
