I Wish Poem by Jeremy Williams

I Wish

I wish that I weren't me
But who else would I be?
Lots of people have fears
We all shed lots of tears
We have some moments of joy
Play with our own form of toy
So would it really be
Such a great escape
Living someone else's life?
Surely I'd only suffer
Their troubles and strife
Instead of mine
Sometimes I wish I weren't me
But there is no-one else
That I would rather be.
