I Wish I Was A Better Man Poem by Charles Wiles (Best Love Poems)

I Wish I Was A Better Man

Rating: 5.0

I wish I was a better man,
I know that I fall short
For all the things that I have done
Have so far come to naught.

Though I failed not for trying
And none could rightly say
That all the things that I have done
Were worthless in their day.

So yes, I’m not the best of men
But I can rightly see
That all the things I’m yet to do
Will show the best in me.

My favorite poem, you inspire me to continue my works and passions without regret and strife. I thank you for those words That all the things I’m yet to do, Will show the best in me. still echo in my mind. Thank you so much.

Humility, optimism and confidence (together with an eye for rhyme and metrical feet) - all fine qualities in any man! S ;)
